Western Digital Released yet another huggie biggie monster laptop hard drive (2.5″) to their Scorpio Series and has only 9.5mm thick! Furthermore, This Scorpio Blue have the biggest capacity of 500GB, claimed to be the largest in its class.

The shape doesn’t change much other than the bigger size stuffed into the thin magnetic disc. Western Digital Scorpio Blue also have implemented the fast data transfer of SATA 3Gbps with up to 12 ms access time.

The good news is, finally laptop users can install a half Terrabyte Hard drive into their laptop and enjoy a bigger size storage room for all of their data, movies and music without the need to carry external hard drive everywhere they are.

Okay, I know 500 GB is still insufficient for those hardcore downloader who collects most of the junks from the net. 500GB is just a child toys for them!

So, where to get it? Hm, even though their official site has announced that this product has shipped to some of their selected merchants for market penetration, it seems I can’t find it anywhere on the online Merchants. May be we should wait a couple of week before getting them on our hand.

The recommended retail price by WDc for 500GB is $219.99 USD and the 400 GB is $189.99 USD. Prepare those money if you plan to get one of this bigger size laptop hard drive!
