Meet The Monkey Family from PowerTraveller

Several months ago, we have covered one of the Monkey Family, the SolarGorilla but at that time the launch date was not yet announced.

Today, SolarGorilla has become available, plus other cool solar stuffs from the monkey family. Well, “Monkey Family” is my personal label on their products. Why?

Because most of their product name begin with Monkey, Chimp or even the Gorilla. Sounds funny, but the gadget capability is measured with their name too is some way. Such as chimp would be for small device, and Gorilla would be for those big devices such as Laptop (Check them out at Powertraveller.com).

SolarGorilla - Laptop Solar Charger

There is a top notch review on the big brother of the Monkey Family, the SolarGorilla at Smartplanet.com. You will get a detail looks on both SolarGorilla and PowerGorilla, the good and bad, understanding the charging process, and why you shouldn’t buy it now and must wait for the spring season. That’s a great detail review done by Adam (great job!).

The price is about $224 (£140) for the SolarGorilla alone. If you are a regular reader on this blog, you’ll know there a cheaper solution to SolarGorilla. It’s Chinavasion’s High Capacity Laptop Charger which is only $150.

But no one has a review on high capacity charger like smartplanet.com do to the SolarGorilla. So we have no certainly whether it will perform well or not. If you want to be safe, just follow what Adam said in his review if you really want to get one for recharging your laptop.
