It’s the matter of your existence again, after that blade runner umbrella. Both do the same, show that you are exist and currently walking in the darkest road! So anyone who’ve seen the lightdrops from the umbrella won’t hit you except they are a blind driver.
A piece of nice idea, I can say… But Showing existence not always a good thing. Who knows if you are going to avoid someone and you can’t do it because your face is clearly visible because of the lighting? 😉
Well, not really visible anyway, just a part of your upper body will be illuminated by lightdrops illumination (not your face since you can hide with the big umbrella design). All of the light is produce by the super bright LEDs taking power from a batte… ry? Nope.
LightDrops is using: “potential energy from raindrops slamming onto the conductive membrane called PDVF transforms into electrical energy powering embedded LEDs sending your umbrella ablaze with light. The heavier the rain, the brighter the light to help you see your way.”
That’s what Sang-Kyun Park said in his concept.
