News: Toshiba to Launch First 512GB Solid State Drive

A good news for SSD lover, Toshiba is going to launch the first 512GB Solid State Drive! Yep, until today, the largest capacity of SSD is 256GB either from Samsung or from Micron.

Well thanks to Toshiba efforts, the first 512GB SSD is going to be on the showcase at International CES 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada this January 8, 2009!

The drive is in 2.5 inch with read speed of 240MBps and write speed of 200MBps. Beside this 512GB version, Toshiba also line up their 43nm NAND SSD family which consist of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB offered in 1.8-inch or 2.5-inch in both drive enclosure or SSD Flash Module. So, make sure to not missing the opportunity to see this cool SSD at CES next year if you are in Las Vegas!
