World’s First Portable Blu-Ray Player by Panasonic

In the CES 2009 in Las Vegas, Panasonic introduced us the world’s first portable Blu-ray player, that in my opinion, have a little bit amateurish look.

Yep, that Panasonic first portable blu-ray player code name DMP-B15 with 8.9-inch WSVGA screen to display the High Definition video. it’s kind of wasting the resource, but it somehow will be better than DVD video since the resolution is 1024 x 600 pixel.

At the first sight, you might have thought it as a Digital photo frame. Well, It’s indeed look similar because of the stand. But I’m guessing Panasonic will face a good competition since nowadays netbook is far more cooler and you can use it for many purpose.

But somehow Panasonic has dealt with this problem by equipping DMP-B15 with HDMI port, SD Card reader and ethernet connectivity for BD Live and some few limited Internet-based services such as YouTube.
