It seems digital photo frame has a slow evolution toward the route of Multimedia device thanks to the strive competition amongst the digiframe manufacturer.
Samsung also joined the bandwagon by creating the first digital photo frame SPF-105P that could display image resolution up to 1024 x 600px. Highest resolution up to this moment. I guess it’s all thanks to the 10-inch width screen with super brightness that beat most of netbooks display.
The first time contact with the digital photo frame, you’ll expect for no navigation control like the usual digiframe have. Samsung SPF-105P switch control keys with their technology called Starlight touch keys which located at the right side of the digital picture frame.
Samsung SPF-105P also have a pretty decent internal memory. It has 1GB of storage that no one has yet. Also, it’s expandable using the built-in card reader with SD, MMC, MS and CF card compatibility.
It can play music (MP3), display digital clock, Image’s Meta Data and you can use it as you “second display” for your PC/laptop. I love this second display idea. We have one here (the MiMo) but it’s only available in Korea. Samsung SPF-105P have blown MiMo far away in the term of screen size and functionality.
