Samsung Unveils World’s First USB Monitor – the SyncMaster LD220

USB monitor? Is it possible? Yes, it is. Because Samsung has introduced us to their first and the World’s first USB monitor SyncMaster LD220. With just a single USB cable, Samsung SyncMaster LD220 can become your Laptop secondary display, and it’s larger!




This USB monitor was first revealed during World IT Show 2009 in Korea, Although there is no full specification yet, the short specs has revealed the general 5ms response time, 30,000:1 contrast ratio and 300cd/m2 brightness level. Pretty much like a LCD monitor projected through DVI port or Analog port.

With this kind of USB Monitor existed in the market, it means you netbook without DVI or Analog port could also have a secondary display. Samsung SyncMaster DL220 USB Monitor has around 24-inch screen wide. Good for video display, but lack of Audio support somehow turns down those who want to make it as an entertainment gadgets.
