Samsung and Western Digital Releases 640GB 2.5-inch Hard Drives

After breaking the limit of 640GB 2.5-inch hard drive by Toshiba, Samsung and Western Digital silently stepping into the zone, too. Recently, both of the giant companies has unveiled their 2.5-inch Hard drive with 640GB storage capacity.

Samsung has their own “SilentSeek and “Noiseguard”, while Western Digital has their WhisperDrive.

The price of this 640GB 2.5-inch hard drive is about $149.99, where the Western Digital’s Scorpio Blue 640GB is the first to flood the market (available now) while Samsung’s HDD have to wait for the late September 2009.
