Okay, I know it is a hype because it’s no way you can shave your beard with this new keyboard. But so far, this Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 is the most attractive slim keyboard I’ve even seen and the thinness is unbeatable for most of the thin-line keyboards.
From the name, you’d have probably figure out the keyboard is bluetooth driven, which is designed especially for bluetooth-enabled desktop or laptop. Powered by AAA battery but no words how many pieces need to properly power on. The overall rear side thickness is about AAA battery diameter, while moving thinner to the front. That’s why CrunchGear folk said he can use it to shave his beard thanks to the razor-like thinness.
“The design tenets of compact, clean and refined really set the stage for the success of the keyboard,” said Chris Kujawski, industrial designer for Microsoft Hardware. “There is nothing extraneous about the design. We removed everything that didn’t fit with those ideas and ended up with something we’re really proud of — a compact, sophisticated keyboard that pairs perfectly with Bluetooth computers.”
My liking on this keyboard is the comfort curve keyboard shape, where I can type conveniently on my fingers’ natural position and the low profile keys allow me to spend less energy typing. There is also an optional numpad sold separately. Both of them will cost you $140 with the Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 worth $90 and the numpad score for $50.
