This version is included into WD My Passport Essential version and MY Passport for Mac. The protection is claimed to be able to provide a peace in mind because the user-selected password protection is combined with Military-grade 256-bit hardware encryption. This security system will scrambles any files that comes into the drive before storing them. Making a forceful access useless because all you’ll get is a big maze of code.

This WD hard drive is available in three sizes of 320GB, 500GB and 640GB, which is the latest biggest size for Laptop size hard drive (2.5-inch – Not available in WD My Passport Mac version). The price will vary from $109.99 to $249.99 depending on the model and sizes.
