LaCie, a brand which previously popular of its black box design hard drive with blue glowing bar has released another gadget that is suitable for Netbook user. The gadget is a Portable USB DVD writer, which measuring in 157.5mm x 137mm x 25mm only and overall weight is just 305 grams. Pretty much you can slip it to your bag effortlessly.
LaCie USB DVD writer is designed by Sam Hecht, providing a reasonable speed at both writing and reading DVD media (maximum write speeds of 8x for DVD±R and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD±R DL and DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM and 24x for CD-R/-RW) and it has been equipped with LightScribe technology to allow you to add your creativity on the surface of lightscribe-able DVD blank. LaCie Portable USB DVD writer will be available for PC and Mac user with price tag of $90 and $120.
