The New MSI GT640 Gaming Laptop

The latest release of MSI Gaming laptop series known as MSI GT640 is a cool gaming laptop powered by the popular Intel Core i7 – Quad Core CPU. Although the speed is only 1.6Ghz (Core i7 720QM), you can boost it up directly using MSI patented EcoEngine and choose from over 5 power modes: text processing, gaming, movie viewing, presentations, and Turbo Battery modes.

MSI GT640 gaming laptop has got 15.4-inch LCD screen, support up to 1680 x 1050 pixels resolution, boosted by a cool 1GB VRAM NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M GPU. You will get 4GB or DDR3 RAM, Half Tera of Hard drive, Blu-ray drive, 2MP web came, HDMI out for HDTV footage, 7.1-channel audio system, and Windows 7 as the latest OS.

The most interesting feature that I like the most is the numberic keypad that stuffed into the side of the keyboard. It’s the most unique keyboard design without making the laptop wider than the usual. The design is also very cool with strip red line running around the edge of the laptop.

I’ve been eyeing on MSI gaming laptop for quiet sometimes, and now this new series of MSI GT640 has finally set my foot firm!

Though there is no news about the pricing, I guess the price should hover around $1,500 and above. This is certainly something I will wait for if I can’t effort to get an Alienware M15x or M17x for my gaming favors.
