ASUS Launches World’s First USB 3.0 Motherboard [ASUS P7P55D-E Premium]

After I-O Data with their USB 3.0 gadgets, ASUS has also got their own USB 3.0 standard hardware, which is a motherboard that claimed as the World’s first motherboard to support the new standard with the help of an addons card.

This new ASUS Motherboard is dubbed as ASUS P7P55D-E Premium Edition, which will allow data transfer rate up to 600MB/s, and it also support the latest SATA interface that has the matching transfer speed at 6Gbit/s. The board is carrying Intel P55 Chipset (that’s the reason why it won’t support USB 3.0 on-the-fly), third-party controller to incorporate two SuperSpeed USB ports along with an amazing ten USB 2.0 ports, two PCIe x16 graphic card slots, six 3Gb/s, two 6Gb/s SATA ports and two Gigabit Ethernet ports.

ASUS P7P55D-E Premium Motherboard will be ready to ship in a few weeks (probably late November) with the retail price of $299 + Addons card (ASUS U3S6) for USB 3.0 support at $29 only.
