Universal Studio To Give Birth To Flipper Discs

Flipper Discs, which is also known as the cross-breeding between DVD and Blu-ray Disc is going to make its surface soon enough. Universal Studios has made a promise previously (long time ago, actually) about launching the Blu-ray/DVD hybrid disc. So finally, they are going to fulfill their promise soon.

The Flipper disc is a dual layer disc, where on the one side you’ll get a capacity of 50GB Blu-ray version, while at the other side you’ll find the 9GB DVD-9 interface. Strange, though. Wonder if this kind of technology will sky rising the price or it can actually blow down the price to between Blu-ray and DVD price.
