The official statement has stated CrunchPad tablet PC is not going to make its surface although it has been undergoing a long evolution from one prototype to another prototype. However, it doesn’t mean the exact same device is not going to make it way to the factory. CrunchPad, under a different brand name, has been revived as ‘JooJoo’ a UNIX-based tablet device it will be available starting this 11th December 2009.
JooJoo was rebranded by the TechCrunch’s former partner Fusion Garage and this JooJoo has a cool 12.1 inch capacitive touchscreen and it has a battery that allow you to goes online for 5 hours max. Oh, the Boot time is also super fast at 9 seconds only.
JooJoo also has 4GB SSD built-in, and you’ll be able to go online using the built-in WiFi connectivity. If you are interested, you can start pre-ordering JooJoo starting today for $499 and it will be shipped on 11th December 2009. You can see the detail on Engadget (video hands-on review).
