Another NAS or known as Network Attached Storage has popped out carrying the name of Buffalo. As you may have known from the past, Buffalo has created a range of cool storage gadgets (e.g. the shock resistant hard drive) and now they’ve spread their wings wider by releasing Buffalo TeraStation TS-XEL/R5 series NAS.
This NAS has four drive bay where you can put 2TB each. However, the largest model that will become available later in this month is only 6TB. Each bay will support one SATA 3.5-inch HDD, and the drive has also support RAID 0, RAID 5, and RAID 5/10 configurations.
The Buffalo TS-XEL/R5 NAS is also coming with a LCD display, two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, two USB 2.0 ports and the NAS will support Apple’s TimeMachine application and Active Directory Services.
Three models will be available, starting with 2TB (TS-XE2.0TL/R5 NAS) for ¥85,000, 4TB (TS-XE4.0TL/R5 NAS) for ¥106,000 and lastly the 6TB version (TS-XE6.0TL-R5 NAS) for ¥138,000.
