Finally, after some years of chasing, e-books finally outsell hard cover books thanks to Amazon’s Kindle that pushes the sales to sky-rocketing in this Christmas 2009. Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos gladly stating: “We are grateful to our customer for making Kindle the most gifted item ever in our history,” and he on behalf of Amazon.com employees around the world wishing everyone a “Happy Holidays and Happy Reading!”.
This is the first time for e-books to defeat books sales of the year. Of course, the record is solely for this year only. However, I believe in 2010 e-books will become the new standard for bookworms to lurk inside their books collection and it’s all thanks to the device like Kindle, Nook, Sony Readers, and so on. What’s coming up next is still a mystery. But we’re looking at a more efficient future with no more papers stuffed in our library. All will be stored in a pencil thin device. Wonderful.
