Instead of going with the flow of the USB 3.0 crowds, Team Group from Taiwan is going a little low profile by using the eSATA connectivity on their latest X092 Dual Interface flash drive.
The X092 Flash Drive has no requirement of a dedicated AC adapter to power up. Team X092 flash drive can get power from USB port when in eSATA mode.
According to the manufacturer, Team X092 Dual Interface Flash Drive can read at 110MB/s and write at 40MB/sec on eSATA mode. In fact, it’s a bit faster than PQI USB 3.0 flash drive thanks to the quadruple channel technology that capable of distributing the data to four NAND device inside the flash drive.
This Team Group X092 Dual Interface flash drive will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. No pricing fact yet, though.
