Sony, the giant manufacturer from Japan has introduced another new series to their existing VAIO brand. Known as the Y-Series, this model were introduced as the energy efficient ultra portable notebook that measure in just 1.2-inch slim and weigh in 1.78kg only.
Sony VAIO Y Series is embedding Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 ultra-Low voltage processor (CULV) to allow the notebook running with low power consumption. Specification-wise, Sony carrying 8GB of RAM, 13.3-inch LED backlit (support 1366 x768 pixels resolutions) display, 500GB of HDD, and a durable magnesium casing protecting the notebook.
You can also find WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Stereo Bluetooth technology, HDMI output, and one rechargeable battery that could provide about 7 hours of battery life. No idea about the pricing and availability yet.
