Panasonic SDXC 48GB and 64GB Memory Cards Revealed

Panasonic has jumped over their competitions (except Toshiba’s SDXC) by introducing a new SDXC memory cards with capacity of 48GB and 64GB. Surprising enough, a slim slot of memory card can contain 64GB, I guess further in the future, SDXC memory will surpass SSD size. But let’s get back to the present and take a look at this new SDXC memory card from Panasonic:

Panasonic SDXC Memory Cards

Panasonice said it will be released in February 2010, especially both 64GB (RP-SDW64GE1K) and 48GB (RP-SDW48GE1K) SDXC memory cards. The two models are also Panasonices largest GOLD cards with Class 10 speed specification.

Panasonic is going to release in February 2010 the company’s first 64GB (RP-SDW64GE1K) and 48GB (RP-SDW48GE1K) SDXC memory cards, which are Panasonic’s largest-sized GOLD cards with Class 10 speed specification and the data transfer speed is capable of speeding at the level of 22MB/s. Of course It won’t beat USB 3.0 flash drive from Super Talent in reading speed, but it has completely defeated both SSD and flash drive in term of dimension.

Panasonic 64GB SDXC and 48GB SDXC memory cards will be priced at $599.95 and $499.95 respectively.
