A-DATA, the popular memory and storage manufacturer is looking up to the USB 3.0, which has become the standard that will substitute USB 2.0 (in term of speed) by producing their new A-DATA NH01 Portable Hard Drive on this standard.
This A-DATA NH01 USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive has been shown off at the CES 2010 earlier this year, and it has been claimed as the first portable hard drive that comes with the support of USB 3.0 that promises transfer rate at 88 MB/s in read and 81 MB/s in write speed. This would allow you to transfer one full Blu-ray Disc (consider it 24GB/disc) at 4.6 minutes only. A-DATA NH01 will also support backwards compatibility which mean if your laptop or desktop has no USB 3.0 port, you can use your existing USB 2.0 to transfer your data at a lower speed.
A-DATA NH01 USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive will be coming in three different sizes:

- 500GB – 88 Euro
