In the past, we have heard about the phrase of “Plug-and-Play” as the one simplest communication between one or more device with our computer where there is no more driver(s) needed before they can work together. Now, HP has inserted a new phrase called “Plug-and-Print” for their latest printer series where you can just plug in the laser printers to any computer system (Vista, 7, XP, Me, OSX, etc.), wait a few minutes and then the printer is usable without any CD driver or online driver download anymore.
I can see that HP has provided a vast of drivers store inside the Laser Printers, so once plug, it will automatically search within the driver database and install the proper version to your PC. This Plug and Print function is only available through HP Smart Install Technology, and it has covering up HP LaserJet Pro P1100, as well as the multifunction LaserJet Pro M1130/M1210 and the LaserJet Pro P1566/P1606dn. The price is set on $129 and up. No further details on the availability yet.
