Samsung To Rolls Out 20nm NAND-based SDHC Memory Cards

After successfully producing 30nm NAND Flash chip, Samsung Electronic is currently moving forward into the stage of 20nm. According to Samsung, it takes 50% higher productivity level than 30nm NAND to create and manufacture the 20nm NAND flash SDHC chip. The chip will also offering the same reliability, and Samsung can boost the SDHC read and write speed to 10 MB/s with the 20nm interface.

This development is considered quick because the 30nm NAND is just initiated last year. Obviously, Samsung 20nm NAND-based memory card will be more high-performance, it also allow larger capacity to stuff in. Samsung expect the New 20nm NAND memory card to hit the mass production later in this year. You can expect to see the 20nm NAND SD Cards to be available in 4GB to 64GB.
