Sony Vaio W Gets Billabong in Australia

Who doesn’t recognize Billabong, the popular clothing brand in Australia? So what do you think if a laptop (in this case the Sony Viao W) is getting Billabong-ed? Just one word: “Cool!”

According to Sony Insider, Sony has teamed up with Billabong to offer a special edition of Sony Vaio W netbook in Australia. Sony Vaio W will get the usual Billabong style, and the netbook will dress in a funky Imperial Lime colored lid (consist of lime green, blue and black color).

Specification-wise, the Sony Vaio W Billabong series will get Intel Atom N450 pine trail CPU, 2GB of RAM and running Windows 7 Starter (upgradable to Business version). It has 10.1-inch LED backlit widescreen display supporting 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution and it’s carrying an impressive amount of hard drive space at 250GB (It’s a netbook, you know).

Nonetheless, as I said before the 10.1 LED backlit widescreen display (1366×768) can’t play 1080P video on YouTube, but is still very strong. I can run Photoshop, Office 2010 and other applications you wouldn’t really think to run on a netbook with relative ease. It’s mostly due to the aforementioned 1.6GHz Intel processor. It also has a huge 250GB hard drive, which is really quite insane for such a small laptop. –SonyInsider

Now, will this Netbook hit the State? Hmm… I guess not, unless you’ve got friends in Aussie to buy you one. :)
