You might have read about the Toshiba Libretto W100 – The Dual Touchscreen Laptop last few days. As for today, we have received a tip that Toshiba Libretto has taking pre-order in Japan for 124,000 Yen which is approx. $1,377.
Toshiba Libretto W100 is a big DS (for a gamer’s eyes) that provide a full touchscreen in two display. There is an unlimited possibility for software developer to use the dual touchscreen to their convenient, and I’m sure user will also love this new laptop that has blurred the line between netbook and MID.
Toshiba Libretto W100 sports 7-inch screens, powered by Intel U5400 processor, 2GB of RAM, 62GB SSD, one USB 2.0 port, 1MP webcam, microSD card reader, and one battery that could provide 5-hours of continuous operations.
As it has no keyboard, the lower screen provides a virtual keyboard function where you can type your words like in iPad. Thanks to Windows 7 Touch functionalities, Toshiba Libretto W100 also allow you to drag applications from one screen to another (in portrait or landscape mode) like when you are using external screen on your laptop.
Although it cost $1,377 in Japan, there is an information that Toshiba Libretto W100 will cost you $1100 when it first hit US market.
