When hearing about VIA CPU, all thoughts appeared in my mind is the low-stream type of hardware similar to nowadays netbook performances. Yes, ASRock is preparing to launch their micro-ATX motherboard that has been equipped with VIA PV530 CPU that run on 1.8Ghz. It’s not really that slow actually, it’s somehow better than netbook CPU that run at 1.66Ghz (Atom N450).
To spice up the specs, ASRock added one DDR3 slots and two DDR2 memory slot, one PCI-Express x16 slot, Chrome9 integrated graphics, two SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, as well as Ethernet LAN, D-Sub output and Instant Boot instant-on Operating system.
Currently ASRock motherboard with built in VIA PV530 CPU has no known pricing yet. However, Tech Connect magazine predicted it should be quite affordable as it’s a VIA based CPU + motherboard.
