HP Refreshed EliteBook 8740W with NVIDIA Quadro FX 5000M GPU

The notebook that has been launched on March – HP EliteBook 8740W is now getting a new specs from the factory. From the beginning, HP EliteBook 8740W is geting 1GB NVIDIA Quadro GPU or ATI FirePro to boost graphical performance. But now HP has refreshed this model by adding an even more powerful NVIDIA Quadro GPU – The Quadro FX 5000M to the customization list.


This GPU has 320 cores, whopping 2GB of memory that could ensure that you’ll never lack of VRAM to share. The HP EliteBook 8740w notebook itself is carrying Core i7 CPU, which you can customize it from the standard Core i7 to the Core i7 Extreme Edition, as long as you have the money to spend. This refreshed model is targeting for the high-end rigs that will cost serious money drawn from your bank account.

However, high-performance chaser might feel worth the money because this HP EliteBook 8740w also coming with 16GB of RAM, eSATA port, USB 3.0, 1920 x 1080 HP DreamColor 17-inch LED-backlit screen, 2 MP webcam, and much more.

The pricing for this updated version is not yet available. But you can expect it to be above $3,000 mark.

    the DreamColor screen is 16:10 aspect ratio that means is not 1920×1080 resolution
    is 1920×1200 lol.
