Computer peripheral that could save energy when in use has become the target of those who want to save electricity bill or living an eco-friendlier life. That’s what Samsung want to aim this time. They’ve just released their new EcoGreen F4EG 2TB hard drive that has a lesser platters to decrease energy consumption by 23% in standby mode and about 19% in working mode.
Beside having less platters (it’s only using 3 platters in total, with 667GB per-platter), the 3.5-inch hard drive also have a 32MB buffer memory for better caching. Expect to see Samsung EcoGreen F4EG 2TB Hard drive to hit the store in this September.
