Recently a Team of researchers has finally found out that Rubik’s Cube, no matter how messy the arrangement is, it can be solved in just 20 Moves!
This is to be called as the God Number, where back in 1981 the number was at 52. Since human is getting smarter and smarter each year, on 2005, someone has successfully decrease the God Number to 28 Moves only. Today, with 35 CPU-years of idle computer time donated by Google, Morley Davidson, John Dethridge, Herbert Kociemba, and Tomas Rokicki prove that the God’s Number for rubik’s Cube is exactly at 20 moves.
On a 3×3 Rubik’s cube, there is a whopping 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 possible combinations. It might send a high IQ guys to his insanity if the puzzle to be solved and find out the lowest possible moves manually. But thanks to Google and the brilliant team of researchers, now we know that the puzzle can be solved in 20 moves, no more or less.
