In addition to their existing HD Camcorders (720p – Kodak ZX1, 1080p – Kodak Zi8), Kodak has added one more HD Camcorder called ‘PlayTouch’. This is quite a nice name for a digital product, as we don’t have to be so techno to mention the specific codename. Kodak Playtouch is a pocket camcorder equipped with 3-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD, and this little baby can shoot HD video in 1080p setting, just like its brother Kodak Zi8.
Even better, Kodak PlayTouch has been equipped with external stereo microphone jack to enhance the sound quality and leveling up the audio recording result.
Aside from video recording, Kodak Playtouch is capable of capturing still photos at 5MP, and connecting this camcorder to your PC is as convenient as the Flip because Kodak Playtouch HD Camcorder has a built-in USB arm that will pop out once pressed, and you can also easily view the recorded content on your HDTV with the provided HDMI output port.
Kodak Playtouch will going to storm the market in this Fall, and it’s going to be available in various color selections such as black, magenta, orange and chrome. The MSRP of Kodak Playtoch is $230. Stay tuned for our announcement of the Kodak Playtouch availability!
