The clash of display technology continues and LG seems to lead the competition ahead of Samsung. We have told you that LG will begin tripling their OLED display production in this 2010 back in April. And yes they do. However, LG is not contented with their achievement, so very soon enough they’ll double up the size of their OLED panels to 31-inch large (which was 15-inch only at first).
LG is showing off this 31-inch OLED display on the showfloor of IFA electronic show in Germany this September. However, there are no details yet on the full specification of this 31-inch OLED display. LG Also will be showing off their latest biggest 72-inch 3D LED TV that claimed to be the thinnest LED TV in the market at 0.28inch (7mm) thickness only. It will be a nice technology show down. However, OLED display is still an expensive technology for consumer level. It might take several years for the price too low down until where users can afford it like nowadays LCD TV pricing.
