According to the latest rumor that we obtained from Notebook Italia, Toshiba is going to launch a new ‘Smart Pad’ (smart tablet?) called Folio 100 that has a pretty rocking specification and features.
It’s been said that Toshiba Folio 100 – the Tegra 2 Android tablet is going to be powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2, run the latest Android 2.2 Froyo, has 10.1-inch touchscreen display supporting 1024 x 600 pixels, 16GB internal memory, SD and MMC card reader and it has a battery that could gives user a handy 7 hours continuous operation on a mixed usage (browsing + video playback).
Connection-wise, Toshiba Folio 100 Tegra 2 Android tablet has been equipped with WiFi-b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3G, USB ports, and HDMI output port. On the software part, Toshiba Smart Pad is getting Flash 10.1 support, using Opera mobile browser as the main browsing software, and other office application.
It looks pretty promising, and the tablet is also coming with a dock peripheral that should help Toshiba Folio 100 to stand in both landscape and portrait mode firmly.
