Buffalo is going to drop a new 3D capable Blu-ray writer in Japanese market soon. Codenamed as BP3D-PI6U2-BK, this 3D Blu-ray Writer is a portable external writer that is suitable for netbook/laptop users. Buffalo BP3D-PI6U2-BK 3D Blu-ray Writer has a write speed of 6x for BD-R (SL/DL), 2x for BD-RE (SL/DL), 8x for DVD-R/+R and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM and 24x for CD-R/-RW.
The 3D Blu-ray writer will comes with CyberLink’s PowerDVD 9 software that has support Blu-ray 3D playback and the capability to convert 2D movies to 3D version. Of course, you have to get a laptop or display that support 3D before you can see anything different.
Buffalo BP3D-PI6U2-BK 3D Blu-ray Writer is about 340g in weight and measure in 137×147×20mm only. Pretty lightweight and suitable to stuff in your laptop bag and bring it anywhere easily.
Buffalo BP3D-PI6U2-BK 3D Blu-ray Writer is going to hit Japan later in this month for the equivalent price of $338 USD (28,500 Yen).
