Scent, designed by two creative designers from Korea Kyu Hyun Lee and Hae Won Jo, is a clever mix of Chinese/Japanese Incense stick with the LED light that glows tenderly. In case you have no clue about incense stick, it’s a tool for praying, where you have to burn tip and let the scent spread slowly for a short period. It has effects that could calm the wild minds, and it’s kind of aromatherapy that you’ve ever had in the past.
However, designers feeling the short period of the incense stick is not enough for them. That’s why they’ve come up with a concept design that let users to see the burning tips that kind of having a soothing effect, as well as filling the ‘electronic incense stick’ with aroma dispenser!
Incense stick mood light looks pretty cool when uses together in a bunch of them. However, a single stick of the incense stick can still do the job like lit up the dark hallways, providing a dim light mood in your kitchen or bedroom.
Scent has won the silver award at KOIZUMI International lighting design competition for students, and I think that’s pretty awesome. Acknowledged by the mass is certainly the way for the designer to climb up the carrier ladders. We have no idea when this piece of soothing incense stick is going to hit the store, but since it’s a simple lighting design, I guess soon we can see it selling on GeekStuff4U or JapanTrendShop.
