Malaysia’s CSL Drops DroidPad Spice MI700 Tablet PC With Android Froyo OS

CSL, Malaysia-based gadget maker has just introduced their very own Android Tablet PC called DroidPad Spice MI700 that runs with the newest Android 2.2 Froyo OS.


Just like many other tablet PCs, this DroidPad Spice MI700 also come with 7-inch multi-touch display that should support about 800 x 480p resolution, and the tablet PC is capable of hooking up with your local GSM network, 3G, GPS, and WiFi hotspot.


It also support bluetooth devices, has a back facing 3MP camera, G-sensor, microSD card slot, USB port and 512MB of RAM. For battery life, it can works continuously for 6-hours using 3240 mAh Li-Pol battery. However, the tablet is pretty underpowered because it’s running Qualcomm MSM7227 processor that clocked at 600MHz only. That’s one downside, and another one is the price mark. According to the news, this CSL DroidPad Spice MI700 tablet PC might cost up to $518 USD!

  • Wow, the device looks really nice. I like the fact that the screen is very close the the edghe which means that it maimises the screen size as far as possible. However this may cause issues with holding the device, I have issues with my iphone automatically being clicked by the palms near my thumb area. With this tablet with a narrow border, could it have similar issues?
