Google decided to do something fun with their Google Android Mascot, so they’ve launched their little green buddy to the space using a weather balloon!
No idea if Google is playful or have to much money. But it seems this project is not merely for fun as Google also sent their Nexus S smartphones into the space. Here is the video of the Android mascots on the space travel:

Looks like a fun trip to the space. However, I’m just curious why Google want to send those into the space and what is their purpose. I wonder if any Aliens out there would seen their little green relative from the earth is waving hands with warm greet?
