Smart TV, or what we known as the Google TV is pretty darn expensive if you have to buy the entire new HDTV like one from Sony. However, there is also a cheaper solution where you can buy a Logitech Revue to “Smartify” your un-smart TV so you can browse the web, watching premium content or doing anything that you can’t do it with your old-mamas TV.
However, if you dislike to get one from Logitech (due personal problems, brand-dislike or anything else), you can also try this new one from LG Electronics.
Well, it’s not entirely a new Google TV system, instead, LG ST600 Smart TV Upgrader box is a new device that turn any regular TV into a Smart TV at a cheap price (unannounced yet).
This LG ST600 Smart TV Upgrader box is powered by BCM7615 CPU with 384MB RAM, has 1GB Storage, has USB port and it can connect with your home wireless network.
By using LG ST600 Smart TV upgrade box, you can now browse the web, play games, accessing premium contents from global providers and more. No pricing yet, but it would be set free in the Q2 of 2011.
