Sony promoted this series as their Ultimate Entertainment 3D Laptop that seriously high-end and expensive. The main selling point of this VAIO F series is the 16-inch Full HD 3D LED widescreen backlit display, and the strong specifications which is quite mind-blowing for an entertainment system.
The details of the specs has included Intel Quad Core i7-2630QM, NVIDIA GeForce GT540M GPU with 1GB dedicated VRAM, up to 8GB of DDR3 1333Mhz SDRAM, S-force 3D technology for 5.1-channel surround sound system, and the display that has 240fps with super fast response time and high-speed refresh rate.
Sony VAIO F Series Ultimate Entertainment 3D laptop also included a function to convert any 2D HD video (DVD/Blu-ray) into 3D version in real-time with a push of button located at the top side of the keyboard together with the I/O power button.
The starting price for Sony VAIO F Series Ultimate Entertainment 3D laptop system is $1700 and the details of the specs should be unveiled next month in February 2011.
