Nintendo 3DS is one of the most modern handheld console with 3D screen. It’s also a great device with strong specification and features, but all of the come in one fatal downside. Unlike the previous generation DS Lite, Nintendo 3DS is generally a battery-killer. Where DS lite can last for 8 – 10 hours under medium setting, Nintendo 3DS can only last for 3 hours at most. This is really not a great news for gamers who tend to spend their entire day playing games. Beside they’ve to recharge 3DS more often, they can’t really bring it anywhere without bringing the AC adapter or getting extra batteries in their pocket. Talking about extra battery, Nyko has spotted this problem and trying to offer a solution to gamers with their new battery pack called Power Pak+.
Power Pak+ is a third party battery that will work on the official Nintendo 3DS flawlessly. The benefits of using Nyko Power Pak+ is that it can double up the battery life from 3 hours to 6 hours per charge. Of course, it’s no way better than DS Lite that last for 10 hours or longer. But at least it’s not that pitiful anymore.
However, Nyko Power Pak+ will add a little extra thickness to the Nintendo 3DS. That’s mean the chubby gaming handheld is getting chubbier after applying the battery that require you to remove the stock Nintendo pack.
Nyko Power Pak+ will cost $19.99 a pop and will be available in March 27. If you have got some cash left, you can get the charging base for $29.99 and it will hit the store earlier this week.
