It turn out that USB 3.0 is getting more favorable attention from the market and companies who’ve meddled within the niche. The Thunderbolt do looks great, but USB 3.0 is likely to be more popular for the market. Silicon Power, the company who’ve been long in memory market has just launched their new version of USB flash drive. Guess what, they are made with USB 3.0 interface instead of something faster from Microsoft.
This is the silicon Power Blaze B10 USB 3.0 flash drive, offering size in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB with transfer speed up to 70MB/s. It’s also backward compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 and weighing in 9.5g only.
However, that’s not the main selling point of this flash drive. Yes, the USB 3.0 might be one, but what’s make this Silicon Power Blaze B10 catchy is the color-changing pattern on the USB drive that will change according to the temperature of the drive. Even it’s just an eye-candy, this unique feature is certainly something the market is lack of. I haven’t seen any color changing USB flash drive in the market yet, if it’s available then I must have missed that.
Sadly, it seems Silicon Power is not releasing the details on pricing and availability date yet.
