Acer, the giant PC maker from Taiwan has made an official announcement for their new series 3D Monitor which has been dubbed as Acer HD274H. According to Acer, this HD274H is the world’s first full HD 3D monitor that relies on NVIDIA 3D Vision technology. Of course, you are still required to use 3D glasses to view the 3D effects.
Specification wise, Acer HD274H is coming with 27-inch display, 2ms response rate, 120Hz refresh rate, overhyped 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (DCR) and it has IR emitter for easy connection to blu-ray player or set-top box.
As for the connection, Acer HD274H LED 3D monitor is coming with three HDMI inputs, one VGA port and one DVI port. Acer HD274H monitor has been manufactured into their popular EcoDisplay series which is mercury-free, made with recyclable materials and will save more power when using. According to Acer, the monitor can save up to 68% than normal LCD monitor.
Sadly, it seems this Acer HD274H is not a cheap stuff to get when it has been released. In the press release, Acer stated that Acer HD274H monitor is going to cost £499 (equal to $800+ in US) with 2-year collect and return warranty in UK. No idea what’s the pricing for US market.
