Acer Iconia Tab M500 MeeGo Tablet Unveiled At Computex 2011

Over at Computex 2011 expo, Acer, one of the super player in that exhibition has unveiled their latest MeeGo-based tablet PC dubbed as Iconia Tab M500. This tablet supposed to be the first tablet PC that run MeeGo OS exclusively without dual booting or loaded with other OS together. Specification wise, Acer Iconia Tab M500 MeeGo tablet is offering 10.1-inch touchscreen display, powered by Intel Atom processor, and it’s only 700 grams.

Actually, I’m not impressed by the spec, especially when there are lots of tablets in the market begging for the attention. The specification should be pretty “common” when it has been released, but what make it a good choice is perhaps falling down to the OS itself. According to the source, Acer Iconia Tab M500 MeeGo tablet has some sort of custom UI called “snackable” where you can customize the widget in circular interface and access to important content easily.

wow, lots of fingerprints there. Should consider getting a good screen cleaner if you are planning to get this tablet :)
