Maingear Updated Clutch-15 Laptop With NVIDIA Optimus Graphics Switching

Maingear has go ahead upgraded their existing Clutch-15 laptop with NVIDIA graphics switching Optimus technology. As you may have known, NVIDIA Optimus technology could save more energy (longer battery life) without decreasing the performance. Maingear is smart to make this upgrade and it will only make their Clutch-15 laptop even better. Aside from adding Optimus technology, Maingear still offering the same options when choosing the system. You are going to get the options to choose from the following specs:

  • Intel Core i3 or Core i5 CPUs
  • 750GB HDD or 512GB SSD
  • Up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M GPU, and more

However, Engadget said that Maingear haven’t updated the disappointing WXGA display. Perhaps that is to hold the price lower from its competition, we are not sure. If the graphic card is strong, the display wouldn’t give you the maximum resolution of what the GPU is capable of. However, at the level of $1,030 (starting price), we shouldn’t complaint much. If you are Maingear’s fans, you can get a $150 – $200 full HD external display like the Samsung PX2370 LED monitor to make your gaming much better.
