Acer recently released their S3 Ultrabook, which is the slim lad fully encased in a thin and light metal design, 1.3cm thick and less than 3 lbs in weight. The look and feel is really putting Macbook Air into the danger corner, where previously they are the best in term of slimness design.
Despite of its thickness, Acer is still manage to cramped in a wide range of features and great specification. Specs-wise, Acer Aspire S3 ultrabook is coming with 2nd generation of Intel CPU (Core i3/i5/i7), HDMI output, card reader, bluetooth 4.0 + HSR, WiFi b/g/n, Crystal Eye 1.3 Megapixel camera + microphone, choose either to have 240GB of SSD or 320/500 GB Hard drive, and battery life that could last for 7 hours per charge.
More features that come along with Acer Aspire S3 are including their Innovative Acer Green Instant On Technology that allow you to resume your work instantly, coming with Acer FineTip chiclet keyboard, no more “warm” palm rest and touch pad area because most warm components have been smartly placed elsewhere, and it has a new airflow design that dissipates heat from the rear of the ultrabook instead to the side to prevent blowing warm air to user’s hands.
Acer Aspire S3 will start selling in US during the Q4 of 2011 for the price between €799 and €1199.
