Corsair lately has announced an updated version of their Flash Voyager GT and Survivor flash drive to the new interface of USB 3.0, while they are still backward compatible with USB 2.0 interface. Despite of its new interface, the design of the flash drive remain unchanged.
The new Flash Voyager GT USB 3.0 flash drive is now supporting up to four times of transfer speed when comparing to the previous version, where it’s hovering at the speed of 135MB/sec of reading speed and 83MB/sec of writing speed.
As for the Corsair Survivor USB 3.0 version, as you can see from above image, the design remain the same as well. Corsair Survivor USB 3.0 version has been level up in the interface and overall transfer speed. The USB 3.0 model can run at 79MB/s (read) and 21MB/s (write) on their 16GB model, while it’s slower on 8GB model. What’s remain unchanged is the anodized aircraft-grade aluminum housing, waterproof to 200 meters, and shock and vibration-resistant features.
