A smartphone with foldable flexible screen is sound too good to be true, right? Well, I will say the same statement if I haven’t read this news about the Samsung Galaxy Skin.
At first, Samsung Galaxy Skin with flexible AMOLED display is just a conceptual design back in June 2011. However, it seems the concept is really going to be a “dream come true” as the rumor of its launch date on 2012 has been confirmed by the authority source!
If Samsung Galaxy Skin ever made to the surface, I’m sure it’s the best smartphone out there that will make all phones in the market looks like the device from the stone-age.
Galaxy Skin is using a material called “graphene” for the flexible display. This material has been nominated as a miracle material that will pioneering all flexible display in the future.
According to the report, the flexible display can be folded, bent, and rolled without damaging the image quality and still hard enough to withstand strong impact/knock/bump.
If 2012 is the year of such technology to appear, It won’t be solely the year of predicted Doom by the Mayan tribe, but it also the year of hope for the better technology and future (if nothing happen).
We don’t want to say the specs though. I believe it would subject to a massive change on the launch. But we’ll include it just in case:
