This is when “one” is not enough, Toshiba has just introduced their new TV set in the CEATEC Japan 2011 codenamed REGZA 55X3 as the impressive 3D TV with four times bigger (in resolution) of the default full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080p! Yep, it’s a Quad Full HD (QFHD) TV that supposed no movie or content to support it yet. The TV itself is only 55-inch large, but the resolution is so high that no one would reach that far yet.
However, the QFHD is not the only amazing feature it has. Toshiba REGZA 55X3 also coming with a 3D glasses-free technology that free you up from wearing a dorky 3D glasses. Thanks God because wearing glasses is really not a convenient experience anyway.
Also, This 3D LCD TV is coming with REGZA ENgine CEVO Duo processor which is the better CPU unit for speeding up the interface and features. However, the 3D effect is applicable to resolution up to 1280 x 720p. Which mean the QFHD is quite useless in face of 3D technology for now.
Specification wise, this 55-inch 3D LCD TV is coming with 5,000:1 contrast ration, LED backlight technology, has face-tracking function for better 3D pictures rendering for viewers, coming with REGZA LINK, has five digital tuners, 2 channels 10Watts speakers, four HDMI ports and two USB ports.
Toshiba is planning to sell this exclusive LCD TV in Japan on December 2011 for the equivalent price of US$11,730. Wow.
