I thought Motorola Xoom 2 is going to be something worthwhile to wait for. However, it seems after acquired by Google, Motorola is still not getting the “boost” to create another amazing tablet to impress the world. According to our source, Motorola is going to launch the second version of Xoom – the Xoom 2 in two different edition: The Xoom 2 (regular) and Xoom 2 Media Edition in UK next week.
The specification itself is pretty strong, obviously they are stronger than their predecessor. They are using 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 10.1-inch HD Display with Gorilla Glass (except Xoom 2 Media Edition with smaller screen at 8.2-inch), front facing 1.3-megapixel camera, rear facing 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and running Google Android 3.2 HoneyComb OS.
These tablets are certainly not the world’s record setter, as ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the king of tablet device right now with its powerful Kal-El / Tegra 3 SoC.
We are not sure if Xoom 2 is going to be just a filler in the market or not, but it would be interesting to see how Google will set out their journey after acquiring Motorola’s technology.
Both models will be available in December, with Xoom 2 on December 2nd, and Xoom 2 Media Edition will be released on December 5th. Pricing is still a mystery for now.
