Here is a new controller concept that you might love to see if you are an avid gamer using your tablet or smartphone. Matthew Hefferon, Ren Livingston and Adam Weisgerber have come up with a new controller concept called DRONE. This DRONE is a bluetooth game controller, made exclusively for playing games or applications on mobile devices such as tablet and smartphone. It’s pretty compact and ergonomic, could be stored on your pocket because it’s also pretty slim.
“DRONE is an Open Source, Bluetooth, portable game controller for Smartphones and Tablets. You can now play all your favorite emulators using a real controller. Our controller is open source so you can upload your own code to modify the characteristics of the controller. This is all done on the Arduino platform.”

Matthew and their group (Revolution Controllers) is trying to raise $60,000 of fund for them to start manufacturing this controller. So far, I’ve seen 12 backers pledged $1,075 to this project, $58,925 and 28 days to go. If you like this DRONE bluetooth controller, you can give a push by pledging some of your spare money on their Kickstarter page.
