No one really like to buy a big sized home PC (desktop version) anymore as the current laptop can be a great desktop replacement. However, if you are planning to run a home server that live for 24×7, it’s always better to get the desktop PC version with large case as it offers better air circulation and prevent from overheating (nothing is cramped in one tiny dimension.

Japanese company called Cleverley is bringing their new Windows Home Server PC called HomeServer Cube D52 (HSCD52-12C) with a big cube case as its airy home. There is a big fans (with blue-LED) on the front side that pull cool air into the machine, and another exhaust fan at the rear to throw the hot air out.

Specification wise, this Cleverley HomeServer Cube D52 home server PC is coming with 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 CPU, Intel NM10 Express chipset, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 2TB HDD, a sufficient 400Watt 80Plus certified PSU and running Windows Home Server 2011 64-bit OS with basic configuration. You can still upgrade it with a better 3.5-inch HDD or SSD, and adding a blu-ray drive onto its 5-inch bay if you wish.

According to the official site, this home server is going to hit the store for 49,800 Yen or equal to $602. It’s not really expensive for a server PC at that price range. However, you should be aware that it’s using Intel Atom, not Xeon or something better.
